On Friday, August 5, 2011 quick acting Rio Hondo staff activated the electronic emergency notification system to all students, staff n faculty to be on the look-out and report a sexual battery suspect on campus.
On Monday, August 8, 2011 the suspect was apprehended and arrested. The Alert System lead to the apprehension of the prepetrator by the Sheriff's Department. Kudos go to Susan Herney, John Ramirez, George Lopez and our security staff.
